modular tubing

Firing Industries supplies tubing by Jacob.

The food-processing industry and other industrial markets benefit from Jacob’s portfolio of modular tubing systems, available in Canada through Firing Industries. Fast, flexible, and safe, these tubing products are manufactured with high quality standards, an outstanding innovative spirit, and an uncompromising selection of materials to satisfy customers worldwide.

With more than 90 years of experience, Jacob has amassed a profound knowledge of the industry, complimenting its products with customer service and support around the clock.

A more efficient assembly method

What sets Jacob’s modular tubing systems apart from competitors’ tubing is the design. Typical tubing systems are assembled by welding them together, which is a difficult and time-consuming process. But Jacob has devised a more efficient way: its tubing systems have a modular design, in which the tubes and pressed components feature lipped edges to seal the system. A U-shaped gasket is pulled over the lip, and a pull ring fixes the connection and ensures maximum tightness.

Jacob Quick Connect offers an even faster solution – the system can be assembled or disassembled in one single action, which is especially beneficial for cleaning or maintenance. Tubing and press components are also available as an alternative, with loose or welded flange connections. The Jacob modular system includes more than 8,000 standard parts with diameters ranging from 2½ to 63 inches. The manufacturer also produces custom parts according to given specifications on request. Customers can implement virtually any kind of tubing system.

Another advantage of using Jacob modular tubing systems from Firing Industries: they are leak-tight and robust. They can prevent leaks to a pressure of up to seven pounds per square inch and resist temperatures as high as 250 degrees Celsius. This tubing can also conduct electrostatic charge, and ATEX-compliant variations are available, as are shock-explosion-proof models.

Food-grade components are also available, all compliant with regulations by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Jacob offers a Detectable Design range with metal detectors that can identify and remove gaskets and seals that accidentally contaminate the product flow.
