Horizontal die grinders from Top Cat now have various extensions

Dobco supplies new grinder extensions by Top Cat.

Top Cat Air Tools offers a diverse selection of industrial tools that users can optimize for specific applications – grinders, sanders, motors, chisels, wheels, and more – and all are available in Canada through Dobco Equipment Ltd. The manufacturer recently expanded its 300EH series of horizontal die grinders with various extensions.

Now, Top Cat offers the 300EH series with innovative extensions that increase their lengths by three, five, or eight inches.

For large material-removal applications

Designed for Type 1 wheels, cones, burrs, and mounted points, Top Cat horizontal die grinders are the ideal option for large material-removal applications. These tools have evolved into a standard for foundries, shipyards, and fabrication shops worldwide because they stay reliable even in the most challenging work environments. A key advantage of investing in Top Cat grinders is that they reduce a business’ inventory of spare parts due to their interchangeability of components with those of other Top Cat tools, from cylinders and end plates to rotor vanes and bearings.

Another major benefit of these horizontal die grinders is flexibility. The user can change a grinder into a polisher simply by adding a flap wheel adapter. Similarly, one can add a cone wheel adapter to a Type 1 wheel grinder to get a stout cone wheel grinder, while adding a wire wheel results in the ability to tackle many everyday applications with one reliable, heavy-duty pneumatic tool. The possibilities are endless.

The new extensions for the 300EH series comprise three options: the 300EHK+3, with a three-inch extension, a standard rear exhaust, an aluminum case, and an optional front exhaust; the 300EHK+5, with a five-inch extension; and the 300EHK+8, with an eight-inch extension, and steel front housing. Four models of each length are available from Dobco – with a choice of a standard or safety lever and of a rated speed of 25,000 or 30,000 revolutions per minute. Each tool has an ER-style insert collet with a maximum capacity of six millimetres.

These new Top Cat extensions result in 300EH tools with full lengths of 224, 300, and 351 millimetres respectively.
