EXAIR Corporation has been revolutionizing the use of compressed-air equipment in industry for 40 years now, and the accolades just keep on coming. Most recently, the manufacturer received two 2022 New Product Awards from Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Protection – both of them for its HollowStream Liquid Atomizing Spray Nozzle.

Now in its 14th successful year, the New Product Awards bestowed these prizes on the HollowStream nozzle in its Dust Control and Pollution Control categories.

With a compact right-angle design

This annual awards program honours the top product achievements of manufacturers who make products that are considered especially noteworthy in their ability to boost health and safety in the workplace. Awards are handed out to the chosen companies in more than two dozen categories, ranging from hand and foot protection to fall prevention, safety knives and cutters, and transportation safety. EXAIR products are often designed to meet the criteria of international safety safety standards, making them a natural choice for these awards.

The HollowStream Liquid Atomizing Spray Nozzle offers a hollow cone spray pattern for pressurized fluids and is highly recommended for cooling, cleaning, foam-breaking, rinsing, and dust-suppression tasks in industrial scenarios. The tangential flow design is vaneless, with wide open internal features to resist clogging while creating a uniform distribution in a ring pattern with medium-to-large droplets. The nozzle also has a compact right-angle design that functions well with fluids that contain particulate. The liquid operating pressure goes as high as 250 pounds per square inch.

In every HollowStream nozzle, the fluid is supplied into the nozzle body, which instigates a swirling action within a vortex chamber. The vortex creates the spray patern when the machined nozzle breaks the liquid surface tension as it leaves the orifice and into a controlled spray angle. These nozzles are available in ¼ and 3/8 NPT thread sizes, with different flow rates, and constructed entirely out of stainless steel.
