“HMC” in the product name stands for High Mating Cycles. An actuator triggers a pre-tensioned cage clamp that comes with the contact inserts. When the actuator is pushed into the contact chamber, the cage clamp returns to its initial position and secures the conductor. Releasing the connection required nothing more than a standard screwdriver.

This series of HMC connectors fits with the Han standard housing sizes from six B to 24 B; these standard housings are currently available in versions with locks and seals optimized for HMC applications.
