High-temperature masking tape by MOCAP works for hot environments

MOCAP offers two kinds of high-temperature masking tape in its portfolio.

MOCAP carries two lines of high-temperature masking tape, one of them polyester and the other polyimide. These products are an ideal choice for protecting manufactured products in extremely hot environments. They are also very easy for users to remove, with a silicone-based adhesive that does not leave any residue behind.

For extremely hot powder-coating applications

The two lines of high-temperature masking tape available from MOCAP are the MCT620 line of polyester tape and the MCT800 line of polyimide tape. Both of them are recommended for extremely hot powder-coating applications.

The MCT620 series can resist temperatures of up to 218 degrees Celsius for an hour. MOCAP stocks this tape on wide rolls and is willing to cut it to any specific width that a customer may request. Twelve different sizes are available, with tape widths ranging from 6.4 to 152.4 millimetres (mm) and a consistent roll length of 65.8 metres (m). MCT620 polyester tape is always ready for immediate shipment upon order, and customers usually receive it within one to two business days. MOCAP also offers polyester discs, which are stocked in sizes from 3/16 of an inch to 1¾ inches in diameter.

If the application involves higher temperatures, the better choice is MOCAP’s MCT800 line. Made of polyimide, this high-temperature masking tape can withstand temperatures of up to 260 degrees Celsius for an hour, as well as shorter exposures to temperatures higher than 370 degrees Celsius.

MCT800 tape is perfect for high-temperature powder-coating applications and other tasks with extreme heat. MOCAP stocks this tape on wide rolls and is willing to cut it to custom widths for shipment in no more than two business days. This polyimide masking tape is available in 14 different sizes, with tape widths ringing from 4.8 to 152.4 mm in a common roll length of 32.9 m. Polyimide masking discs are also available, in the same diameters as the polyester discs.
