high temperature expansion joints

NISCO can supply high temperature expansion joints by HOLZ Rubber Company.

HOLZ Rubber Company is a major American manufacturer of high-end industrial rubber products – especially expansion joints, which are available in Canada through Northern Industrial Supply Company (NISCO). This portfolio includes piping, flue-duct, metallic, and high temperature expansion joints, the latter being a long-term solution for environments with harsh temperatures.

These high temperature expansion joints are the result of HOLZ’ dedication to research and development. They are engineered for the severest applications and built from highly advanced materials for long life and reliable performance.

Reduction in engineering time

NISCO offers a complete range of HOLZ fabric expansion joints that offer top performance in high-temperature applications. These joints give users many considerable benefits: they resist corrosion, eliminate sound and vibration, withstand temperatures higher than 1,090 degrees Celsius, and reduce the number of joints required with their multi-plane movement. In addition, they shorten face-to-face in comparison to metal, reduce engineering time significantly, and lower the need for expensive toggles, hangers, and guides.

HOLZ manufactures several distinct series of high temperature expansion joints:

  • Series 300LT. Rubber chemical-resistant expansion joints designed for wet or dry service of up to 148 degrees Celsius. Constructed from multiple elastomers and available in belt or flanged configurations. Recommended for baghouses, FD fans, scrubbers, and precipitators.
  • Series 400LT. DuPont-certified Viton joints for wet or dry service of up to 204 degrees Celsius, operating without flow liners except in abrasive or high-speed flow scenarios. Recommended for air-heater gas outlets, baghouses, precipitators, induced draft fans, scrubbers, and stack breeching ducts.
  • Series 500T. Fibreglass-reinforced PTFE joints for service of up to 301 degrees Celsius, with the highest resin content in the industry. Typically used as outer covers and gas seals for high-temperature composites.
  • Series 500HT-1000HT. Multilayered joints for high-temperature air and gas applications up to 537 degrees Celsius. Usually made for economizer outlets, SCR inlets, secondary air, and other hot flue gas applications.
  • Series 1200. HTG extreme-temperature joints for ducting and fan applications. Also designed for gas-turbine applications with temperatures above 537 degrees Celsius and expected heavy cycling, radial growth, and large movement.
