Thermo-Kinetics Measurement & Control can supply high temperature camera systems from Lenox. The FireSight line of remote viewing systems enables real-time colour video monitoring of the combustion process in boilers, kilns, furnaces, incinerators and more. This allows operators to monitor fuel flow, improve safety, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and expedite boiler light off.

Process optimization

For heaters and furnaces in the petrochemical and hydrocarbon industries, these cameras can be used to spot problems such as flashback, smoky flames, flame instability, oil spillage and flame impingement on tubes. FireSight viewing systems also enable observation as corrective adjustments are made to the process parameters to solve these issues.

FireSight camera features

FireSight camera systems offer the industry's highest image clarity. One way they accomplish this is with Lenox's exclusive Light Volume Control feature. This feature allows operators to adjust the amount of light transmitted to the camera by remotely controlling the camera's motorized iris and spot filter. This means that the flaring and blooming that is typical of other systems can be eliminated. Instead, FireSight camera systems offer a clear view at every stage of the process, from initial light off to maximum load. Networkable models are available that allow viewing and recording using a standard web browser or integration into existing video management systems.

One example of the type of camera available is the Lenox air-cooled boiler camera for use in temperatures up to 1649 degrees C (3000 degrees F). This camera features a compact design that allows it to fit between boiler tubes, and it can often utilize existing wall penetrations.

FireSight camera systems are backed by a two-year warranty. They have been performing reliably in hundreds of installations in power, paper, steel, glass, refinery and trash-to-steam applications.
