Matritech offers robotic welding and bending.

Matritech Inc. serves many industries with a variety of industrial services – including CNC machining, laser cutting, tooling, stamping, and more. Another advantage this company has over competitors is its investment in robotic technology. Matritech has embraced automation, as shown by its capabilities in robotic bending and welding.

Since Matritech purchased its first of three welding robots in 2003, it has been the place to go for robotic machining.

Complex welding assemblies with precision

Matritech has a complete department for both robotic and manual welding, turning steel, stainless steel, and aluminum assembly projects into mass machine-welded assemblies. The company’s three multi-axle welding robots create complex welding assemblies with perfect precision when combined with pulsed-arc welding technology. This welding process ensures consistent, repeatable results with high quality, making it the preferred option in many high-volume production projects.

This robotic-welding department has several competitive advantages. For one, the experience of the company’s robot programmers enables them to maximize all operations while upholding the highest-quality standards every time. The technical team has an ingenuity that allows them to upstream issues before they occur and find suitable solutions for all projects. And the tooling used, designed, and manufactured onsite meet all customer requirements.

In 2014, Matritech acquired a fully robotic bending cell. This machine was the first of its kind in Canada, giving the company exclusive coverage of automated bending services in the country. This efficient robot uses two gripping arms to take pieces that are lain flat, analyze them, complete the bending process, and put them on an automatic conveyor – all done with unparalleled synchronization and with no human help.

Complementing Matritech’s collection of versatile CBC standard bending presses, this cell has expanded the range of dimensions, complexities, and metal-part families that the company can manufacture. Other benefits of Matritech’s custom robotic bending: high manufacturing speed, shorter setup time, manufacture of complex parts for multiple applications, and repeated precision due to elimination of human error.
