Harting’s high-performance UHF RFID 4 Field Reader is now available with M8 and M12 connections. The new addition — the Ha-VIS RFID Reader RF-R400 — is ideally suited for applications where robust M8 and M12 connectors are standard.

The details

The compact, robust Ha-VIS RF-R3x0 reader product range has two antenna connections, 500-mW power output, comprehensive software functions and, thanks to the latest addition, now provides concentrated RFID performance with robust M8 and M12 connectors. The enhanced reader features network, power supply, RS232, two digital trigger signal inputs and four digital signal outlets via circular connectors. The unit’s four antenna connections each have a maximum power output of two watts, and remain in the usual SMA format. The new reader also meets the requirements of the industrial and rail market. The usual Harting reader functions such as Action on EPC, where the reader can process scanning results autonomously and respond by switching outlets, are also included in the reader’s comprehensive software provision.

In terms of software, the RF-R400 is fully compatible with the powerful GS1 ALE 1.1 based Harting middleware. In addition, it is supported by both the server version, Ha-VIS Middleware and the embedded version for the RF-R350, enabling easy raw data processing, which saves unnecessary expense in the backend system.
