The new 654 series of valves by ODE

ODE Valve Canada is proud to announce new members to its family of valves and other fluid-control solutions: the 6354 series of high frequency valves. These units are designed specially to comply with particular technical conditions. Available in three distinct models – A, B, and C – these solenoid valves are recommended for sorting and packaging tasks with high production rates per minute, due to their drive times, airflow rates, pressures, and other unique performance traits.

Suitable for compressed-air applications

The ODE team has designed and manufactured the 6354 series of solenoid valves to handle large air flows in a repeatable, reliable way over time. As a result, the valves are suitable for such compressed-air applications as sorting or selection of waste products in check weighers, as well as tasks that require very short and frequent cycles. They come with brass standard bodies; aluminum and technopolymer are also available.

These high frequency valves are also built for air management in applications that require high activation frequencies. Among their advantages are mechanical reliability, high performance, repeatability, and very quick opening and closing times. Each is a two-way, normally closed unit with a stainless steel electromagnetic kit, and each comes with a coil, available in two sizes, with a technopolymer encapsulation. ODE has designed the 6354 series for a 24-VDC power supply with power consumption within the industry’s standard ranges.

The opening and closing cycle of the 6354 series is operated at more than 800 cycles per minute, depending on the use and application characteristics. These valves have been tested at up to one billion cycles to verify the components’ strength and reliability at high frequencies. ODE equips the plunger with POM piston rings that boost its durability during countless high-frequency activations; this configuration of the component ensures smooth, repeatable flow.

Between the A, B, and C models, the primary differences are the orifice diameters, MOP pressures, and maximum air forces. All versions have FKM+TPU seals and G¼ connections, but frequencies range from 800 to 900 cycles and orifice diameters from four to 8½ millimetres.
