The RFH, from Hi-Tech Duravent

For more than four decades, Hi-Tech Duravent has provided a wide selection of hoses and ducting for industrial users in Canada. These products offer solutions for an impressive amount of applications, including ventilation, de-humidification, insulation blowing and removal, leaf mowing and collecting, and more.

Another common use for Hi-Tech hose and ducting products is welding fume exhausting. As with products for other applications, Hi-Tech always ensures that its fume-exhaust items provide long-lasting performance, are reasonably priced, and are delivered to the client on time.

Durable hoses that resist damage

Hi-Tech’s products for fume exhaust are trusted by users in a number of different industries, including foundries, ship yards, welding shops, and similar workplaces. They are convenient in manufacturing, construction, aerospace, and the medical field too.

These welding fume-exhaust hoses are built from polyvinylchloride, thermoplastic rubber, two-ply neoprene-coated polyester, and similar materials. Their construction makes them strong enough to resist puncture, abrasion, chemicals, and extremely hot or cold temperatures. Some of them are self-extinguishing and/or meet the strict UL94V-0 standard from Underwriters Laboratories.

Hi-Tech always carries an inventory of welding fume-exhaust hoses in standard sizes to make sure customers get their shipments right away. These products come in standard lengths from 25 to 50 feet and standard diameters from ten millimetres to two feet, but metric and special custom sizes are also available.

One common fume-exhaust design available from Hi-Tech is the RFH, which is strong enough to withstand temperatures ranging from -50 to 135 degrees Celsius. Depending on the diameter of the individual hose, the RFH has been rated for pressure of up to 28 pounds per square inch and for vacuums of more than 29 inches of mercury. Other fume-exhaust options available include the CVD, several Flex-Flyte and FlexFast designs, and the Vac-U-Flex.

Hi-Tech can customize its hoses for welding fume exhaust according to client specifications for colour, material, size, and design.
