Heavy-duty gravel separating equipment uses rubber suspension units

Rosta suspension units are the screen mounts of choice for gravel screeners from Switzerland-based manufacturer Mueller & Co. Aufbereitungstechnik AG. The manufacturer's screening and washing equipment is used to handle gravel material that has large amounts of loam and clay. The equipment can separate material or granulates with high efficiency. These machines are designed to use the least amount of energy and water possible. Rosta elements provide the heavy-duty performance needed for this equipment.

Bar classifier design

The manufacturer makes bar classifiers that have a pre-screener (circular hopper) above the actual screen to provide the first stage of separation for sticky and viscous gravel and loam material. The pre-screener has strongly diverging bars that sort large stones from the loam, which flows over a separator grid. The actual classifier screen is a linear vibrator with three bar cascades. This design provides efficient separation, high throughput, and free-flow of material through the diverging bar positions. They are capable of handling difficult-to-screen material such as granular sizes up to 320 millimetres, and can reduce and separate material at a rate of 120 tons per hour.

Rosta screen mount features

This bar classifier equipment is mounted on four Rosta AB-HD 50-2 screen mounts. These oscillating mountings are the heavy-duty version from the Rosta AB mounting line. They are perfect for use in mining and aggregate screen equipment because they are less sensitive to overload situations. Due to their high load capacity, these mountings are also ideal for screens that are submitted to impact loading.
