The HBM GN610B Isolated 1 kV 2 MS/s Input Card, available from Durham Instruments

Durham Instruments is the distributor that Canadian industry turns to for the best measuring instruments – including those by HBM Test and Measurement, known for precise and reliable tools. This includes the GN610B Isolated 1 kV 2 MS/s Input Card, which works quickly and dependably.

The GN610B input card has isolated, balanced differential inputs with voltage ranges from plus or minus ten millivolts to plus or minus 1,000 volts. It also has a seven-pole analog antialiasing filter and user-selectable digital filters, as well as an analog-to-digital converter with 18-bit resolution, which operates with a speed of up to two mega samples per second.

Includes six analog channels

Durham Instruments recommends the GN610B for use in several industries, such as general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, education, the military, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.

The GN610B’s reinforced isolation enables safe measurement for up to 600 V RMS CAT II, making it safe to use; the card has been tested for up to 6.4 kilovolts. Direct interfacing to torque and speed sensors, such as the HBM torque transducer, is possible with its two timer counters, the GEN series mainframe Digital Event and Timer Counter connector, and the G070A torque/RPM adaptor.

The real-time cycle detection not only delivers instantaneous values, but also enables cycle-based real-time calculation on all analog channels, while all timer counter channels offer torque, angle, and speed at the same time. The card’s optional real-time formula database calculators can solve virtually any real-time math problem, including efficiency or level of power, and users can employ all calculated results to trigger the recording.

Other great features of the HBM GN610B input card include the following:

  • Six analog channels;
  • Two gigabytes of memory;
  • Four-millimetre banana connectors;
  • Specially designed matching probes;
  • Support of fast data streaming;
  • Channel-to-channel and channel-to-chassis isolation;
  • EtherCAT support, with a maximum of 1,000 updates per second and one millisecond of output latency;
  • 16 digital events; and
  • Two timer/counter channels.
