Harting names new head of Canadian sales, with plans to expand in Canada

Harting has named Carl Maalouf the new head of Canadian sales. The leading manufacturer of connectivity solutions plans to leverage Maalouf’s extensive engineering background to expand the company’s presence in the Canadian market.

Engineering expertise

Maalouf graduated from McGill University with a B.Eng degree in chemical engineering, and is fluent in both English and French. He joins Harting after eight years in industry focusing on technical sales and key account management.

“Finding a candidate with engineering training and experience was a prerequisite,” says Jon DeSouza, president of Harting Americas. “Harting is focusing on being a solutions provider for our customers, in addition to meeting their component needs. That’s something Carl is committed to.”

Customer partnerships

Maalouf looks forward to working closely with customers on both commercial and technical fronts to determine the products and solutions that best fit their needs.

“Our goal at Harting Canada is to develop partnerships with our customers,” says Maalouf. “We want to provide the highest quality and most reliable solutions for their existing applications and new designs.”

To achieve this goal, Harting plans to grow and develop the resources and team within Canada.
