The new Han HPR VarioShell housing system

The lineup of groundbreaking industrial solutions never stops expanding at HARTING Canada. This coming Tuesday, Sept. 22, the company’s parent entity, the HARTING Technology Group, is introducing the next level of inter-car jumping solutions to the marketplace: the Han HPR VarioShell housing system. The manufacturer plans to show this new product for the first time during an on-demand web seminar. HARTING has developed this new solution as a highly flexible system that provides an unprecedented range of possibilities.

Inter-car jumping is an essential need for any workplace application that involves moving vehicles. Also known as boosting, this is a method of starting a vehicle that has a dead or discharged battery. The driver makes a temporary connection to the battery of another vehicle or another external power source, and the external power supply recharges the disabled battery and offering some of the power required to crank the engine. When the vehicle starts, its regular charging system recharges, so the driver can remove the auxiliary source, and normal vehicle operation should restore the battery charge. The new Han HPR VarioShell will enhance this routine process.

HARTING has optimized the design of this housing system for a longer operational lifespan, protected from water, dust, and ice. With free access from all directions, this unit saves time during the entire installation process. Other major benefits include weight savings, due to the replacement of distribution boxes and shorter cable lengths, and high flexibility, thanks to full compatibility with the entire Han HPR portfolio.

The Han HPR VarioShell housing system is just one of the new products that HARTING will introduce in its webinar, titled System Concepts for the Most Important Trends in the Railway Industry.
