Coroniavirus pandemic

The Coronavirus crisis has not stopped HARTING.

For weeks, business and daily life around the world have been upset by the Coroniavirus pandemic. HARTING’s global operations have not been immune to the effects of the situation, but the company is pleased to say that it is operational and can support partners worldwide. This goes for HARTING Canada too.

As the COVID-19 situation continues, HARTING is protecting its team and keeping communications open with customers and employees.

Fully stocked distribution channel

HARTING’s North American operations have introduced precautionary measures to protect all of its workers during the Coroniavirus pandemic. These measures include air-travel restrictions, restriction of visitor access, remote work whenever possible, and implementation of extra preventative health measures.

In addition, all HARTING production facilities are running smoothly, including plants in America, Mexico, and Brazil. Although the HARTING plant in Zhuhai, China has seen delayed confirmed open orders, the facility is now back on 100 per cent capacity and has fulfilled these orders. While delays with external suppliers are still likely, HARTING Zhuhai continues to monitor them.

The corporation continues to manufacture at its production sites outside China as much as possible, to bridge this gap. HARTING has a policy to run identical manufacturing in multiple international locations when possible, to keep worldwide production consistent.

To ensure a full inventory, HARTING has been in close contact with distribution partners. The company’s American warehouse and distribution channel remains fully stocked to support customers, who may find lead times through their individual eShop accounts. HARTING updates these lead times as accurately as possible. Unfortunately, recent international travel bans have reduced cargo-space availability, resulting in delays from extended shipping times worldwide. The company is communicating proactively and working to decrease shipping delays, while making customers aware of them when necessary.

The HARTING Contact Centre remains open, thanks to cloud technology, and clients have several channels available through which to communicate with the company’s Customer Service and Technical Support team. These employees can support customers remotely during the Coroniavirus pandemic via the usual phone and e-mail contact info.

HARTING will keep customers updated as the situation evolves.
