Gould Fasteners is Canada’s top source for Carey, Amatom products

Carey and Amatom manufacture many mechanical components available through Gould.

For decades, Gould Fasteners has been a major provider of industrial hardware in Canada, distributing goods from top manufacturers to clients in the telecommunications and computer sectors. One of these producers is Carey Manufacturing Inc., a Cromwell, CT-based supplier of items for these industries and more. Carey is affiliated with Amatom Electronic Hardware, a worldwide supplier of components for electronic machinery.

Two major producers in one partnership

Founded in 1981, Carey Manufacturing produces catches, handles, and other items for use in military, aerospace, computer, telecommunications, automotive, and consumer applications. The company creates its wares out of aluminum, brass, steel, and stainless steel at its 30,000-square-foot facility, applying more than 35 styles of decorative finishes in more than 50 colours and textures.

Among the products Carey manufactures:

• Case and Container Hardware. Fifteen types of surface mounting handles available, with optional return springs.
• Catches. Carey offers all kinds of catches, including pull down, hook loop, spring hook, compression spring, and adjustable.
• Handles. Handles for all kinds of applications available.

• Strikes. Twenty-four varieties of strikes available, with different finishes.
• Wing Turns. Low-profile, durable wing turn latches.

Amatom Electronic Hardware has been producing and supplying hardware for manufacturers and assembly markets for more than 60 years. It solidified its legacy as a maker of quality industrial parts in the 1960s, when it published the influential Amatom Electronic Hardware Reference Manual. Amatom joined forces with Carey in 2003.
