Plastic pipe and coil lifters are custom products manufactured by ELS. They come in single- or multi-probe designs that can attach to most forklifts. Ideal for applications that require plastic pipes and coils to be moved and stacked, these lifters feature a probe-mounting clamp, which simplifies probe replacement and minimizes material stress. They also feature reinforced fork pockets and replaceable tie-back chains that tether the lifter to the forklift carriage.

A success story

Plastic pipe and coil lifters are ideal solutions for manufacturers of plastic drainage pipe. For example, before working with ELS, a customer had been using forklift probe attachments to handle products weighing up to 1,500 pounds. Its various forklift probes were built in-house, and mounted onto diesel-powered forklifts to move and stack products in outdoor storage yards. Due to the harsh yard conditions, the probes were under severe metal fatigue from bouncing and flexing during load handling, and often broke at the welds or bent under severe loads. This was no longer a safe solution for the company, so the team began looking for engineered products that were designed specifically for their application.
