York Fluid Controls offers four kinds of FLUX drum pumps.

York Fluid Controls is Ontario’s source for industrial pumps of all kinds for a wide array of applications. This includes drum or container pumps, often used to pump hazardous fluids from large barrels, like low-viscosity or highly flammable liquids.

One manufacturer whose products York distributes is FLUX, which has been an international leader in the drum-pump game for decades – having created the world’s first electric drum pump back in 1950.

Four kinds of FLUX drum pumps

York Fluid Controls carries four distinct designs of drum pumps from FLUX: the F 424 Sealless, the F 425 for emptying barrels, the F 426 for mixing or emptying barrels, and the F 427 Sanitary Drum Pump.

The F 424 Sealless is ideal for transferring solvents and other fluids that neither glue nor crystallize. It ensures safe dry running with no contamination of the pumped liquid by shaft lubricants; it also prevents mixtures of pumped liquids. The F 424’s impellor design allows for optimal barrel emptying. The liquid level in the inner tube corresponds to that of the container; the liquid lubricates the pump shaft, which is supported by the inner tube.

Certified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc., the F 425 is designed to handle high-grade fluids, such as those in the cosmetic industry. This easy-to-handle pump saves costs in disposal because of its optimum use of the liquid in drum-emptying applications. Users can prevent the liquid flowing back into the container by closing the flowback stop valve at the pump inlet before switching off the motor.

The F 426 is capable of pumping and/or mixing almost every fluid out there. Like the 424, it has an impellor design that enables optimal emptying, but also has a reliable mechanical seal. Users can set the pump for either mixing or pumping with the adjusting lever.

The F 427 is built for aseptic applications, with all wetted parts constructed from stainless steel, ETFE, or PTFE. It prevents contamination of the liquid that the shaft lubricant pumps.

All of these pumps can be stripped for cleaning or sterilization with little effort.
