The Model SPS Super Pump Seal by Fluidol

One of the newest innovations available in Canada through York Fluid Controls is the Model SPS Super Pump Seal by Fluidol. The manufacturer has designed this seal to withstand factors that ruin other pump seals on the market: only ten per cent of pump seals fail from wear, so Fluidol has addressed all of the common failure causes for the remaining 90 per cent to put together the SPS.

The SPS has a cartridge design that makes it easy to install, as well as a full face gland with ports for use with barrier fluids. Users can repair it in the field with its unique repair kit, and special vacuum and dual seal configurations are available. The seal is competitively priced, and there are short lead times for common pump models.

This seal’s powerful design also includes a Secure-It O-ring to keep process fluid from penetrating under the lip seal, a silicon carbide sleeve to resist fretting, and a carbon-fibre-reinforced Teflon wetted lip material for wear resistance.
