Flanged plastic caps designed for easy removal

MOCAP’s extensive line of protective products includes a series of flanged plastic caps designed for use as a thread protector or end cap. These caps are friction fit for easy removal.

The selection

The company’s FCBN Series of flanged polyethylene plastic caps is designed to protect BSP and NPT threads, in sizes ⅛ through two inches, with or without o-rings. The FCM Series, on the other hand, is designed to protect metric threads. They are available in sizes to fit M5 through M33 metric threads. MOCAP’s FCS Series flanged polyethylene plastic caps, available to fit 7/16- through 1-⅝-inch straight threads, is designed to protect standard straight threads. The company also carries FCSL Series long flanged caps to protect standard straight threads. They feature a longer length than the standard FCS Series, adding extra protection from moisture, dust and damage during production, shipping and storage for parts with increased thread length. Long flanged caps can also be used as low-temperature masking during painting and plating. They are moulded in red polyethylene plastic and sized to cap straight threads from 5/16 through 1-⅞ inches.

Additional details

The natural colour of the FCBN, FCM and FCS Series flanged plastic caps allows visual verification of the threads or o-ring. They are all easy to assemble or remove by hand or automated equipment.

Flanged caps are stocked in many sizes for immediate shipment. They can be ordered in Micro-Pack and Mini-Pack quantities when less than case quantities are required.
