piab vacuum conveyors have many filter options.

piab’s wide range of industrial vacuum-conveying equipment is available through Firing Industries Ltd. – and the manufacturer also offers several models of filters for these devices. A key advantage of these filters is that they are extremely easy and quick to change. The user can do so in less than two minutes.

By changing piab filters only by hand, without any tools necessary, customers can save a great deal of time, which translates into higher productivity and increased profit.

Reduce risks of breakdown, stoppage

This easy method of changing filters means that the vacuum-conveying system is always ready to convey materials, which minimizes downtime for maintenance. It is just a matter of unscrewing and removing the top lid, pulling out the old filter, slipping in the new one, and replacing the top section – and the conveyor is ready to go once again. Watch the video below to see a piab representative change the filter of a piFLOW® vacuum conveyor in less than a minute:

These units filter dust and other small particules from the vacuum flow inside the conveyor, reducing the risks of operation breakdown and stoppage within the pump. Firing Industries offers a selection of piab’s ATEX-approved filters and another of stainless steel filters for sterilization during cleaning. The options available:

  • Air-inlet filters. Standard units for all kinds of applications in which non-conductive materials are conveyed. Antistatic units are recommended for tasks with high demands, especially ones involving acidic materials or in which antistatic properties are crucial.
  • Silicone-free white filters. Suitable for sticky powder.
  • Pleated filters. Four different groups available, including stainless steel models that are suitable for granules and particles larger than five microns and also for sterilization. Pleated rod filters are suitable for fine powders, such as toner, and the grey model is antistatic and complies with ATEX requirements.
  • Second-stage filter units. Designed for the piab piFLOW®p family.
  • Textile filters. With welded seams.
