Festo online valve configurator – The new KVZA butterfly-valve configurator organizes the selection of the optimum assembly into a few simple and quick steps.

Reduced procurement and assembly time, with the highest-quality valve for the application: these are the benefits of the new KVZA butterfly-valve configurator by Festo Canada. This online tool lowers overhead by speeding up and simplifying procurement of manual and automated butterfly valves. Engineers get the price, estimated delivery date, data sheet, bill of material, two-dimensional CAD information, three-dimensional CAN models, and certificates of the butterfly valve for the specific task – all in mere minutes with the KVZA.

Many functions in one tool

The latest in Festo’s line of engineering productivity enhancers, the KVZA offers support throughout the whole valve procurement process from search to order. It provides configuration, sizing, documentation, quotation requests, ordering, and delivery in one tool. This unit also features a direct link to the Festo Online Shop, a user-friendly interface, solution advice, and a configuration-compatible bill of materials. Each device arrives to the customer fully tested and assembled.

The KVZA configurator has many actuation and automation options, such as a hand lever for manual actuation, a pneumatic actuator for automated function, open/closed or proportional control, NAMUR pilot valve, and a choice of visual indicator, limit switch, or puck sensor. Butterfly valves come in wafer and lug styles, as well as DIN- and ANSI-compatible formats. Nominal diameters run from one to 12 inches, or DN 25 to DN 300. Sealing element materials include EPDM, NBR, and PTFE with silicone; shutoff materials include ductile cast iron with polyamide coating, stainless steel with perfluoroalkoxy alkane coating, and stainless steel.

Quarter-turn actuators can be double- or single-acting and low-, standard-, or high-temperature, as well as G or NPT threads for the air connection. There is also an option for epoxy coating for a higher level of corrosion resistance in wash-down applications. With the broad range of KVZA options, users can specify a single, specific group of butterfly valves for all of their requirements – which makes shopping and maintenance easier and simpler.

Festo remains the world’s top supplier of automation technology and technical education, and it has been supporting Canadian industry for more than four decades.
