The MS filtration series from Festo exceeds SQF clean-air codes and is pre-assembled, easy to install, feature-rich, and competitively priced.

The latest innovation from Festo Canada is the MS series of pre-assembled filtration units, designed to ensure clean compressed air in food zones. These products reduce the risk of particle contamination when compressed air directly contacts food or packaging. These units meet or exceed the highest international industry standards for clean air.

The MS series is recommended for applications in the dairy, baking, produce, processed-food, pet-food, craft-beer, cold-food, and beverage sectors.

With a corrosion-resistant housing

Available in three models (the MS4, MS6, and MS9), these filtration units are also versatile enough for applications in other industries in which clean compressed air prolongs the life and efficient operation of pneumatic cylinders and processes. The MS series arrives from Festo pre-assembled with safety and total productive maintenance features usually found as custom add-ons. The pre-configuration and quick shipping decrease engineering/buying time and inventory requirements.

The MS4 is rated for airflow at 360 litres per minute (l/min), while the MS6 has a rating of 2,500 l/min and the MS9 has an airflow of 7,800 l/min. The MS6, the most commonly used unit, is available in variations for odour and moisture removal in sensitive applications. Equipment manufacturers and other end users can customize these filtration units for unique tasks. The MS series complies with the guidelines of the United States Food and Drug Administration and U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act.

In addition to the three-stage filters, MS air-preparation units come standard with a lockout/tagout feature for enhanced safety. Another standard feature is an exhaust valve that evacuates safely from the system when filters are changed. After the user sets a pressure point, the lockable filter regulator prevents tampering. Visual-cue red/green gauges support complete productive maintenance initiatives by indicating to employees that the unit has the right or wrong pressure range and whether filters need to be replaced. Manual filter drains ensure that condensation droplets never fall onto the plant floor and enhance the risk of contamination, and the corrosion-resistant housing extends the unit’s lifespan.

Easy to install, the MS series is compatible with a broad range of fitting sizes.
