Both the hygienic and 3A hygienic series of AODD pumps are made from chemical-resistant air section materials. Their unique features include clean-in-place design, which can accomplish a surface finish of 32 micro-inches or even better. Some of the pumps have integrated plate Fusion diaphragms, which deliver a longer operational life, and Versa-Dome thermoplastic diaphragms, which can withstand a broad range of temperatures. Each unit in these series comes with the Elima-Matic air-distribution system, which enables air-efficient reliability and simple, inexpensive maintenance.

The Versa-Matic series of food-processing FDA-approved pumps is also made out of chemical-resistant air section material. These units offer a smooth, clean casting finish that is electro-polished to a surface finish of 150 micro-inches, both inside and outside. Like the hygienic and 3A hygienic series of sanitary diaphragm pumps, they have Elima-Matic air-distribution systems and either integrated plate Fusion diaphragms or Versa-Dome thermoplastic diaphragms.

FDA-approved pumps are distinguished by their hygienic wing nuts for simple assembly. They can be disconnected quickly with the hygienic tri-clamp fluid connections. The pump line has the same dimensions as other brands have, so they can be interchanged for seamless upgrades.
