The Quantum cable carrier from Kabelschlepp, a member of the Tsubaki Group, is known for being extremely quiet, very lightweight and low vibration, yet at the same time being able to handle high speeds and accelerations. This combination makes these cable carriers ideal for highly dynamic applications, particularly those in clean room settings.

Robust and reliable

The Quantum carrier can reliably handle high accelerations up to 300 m/s2, and travel speeds up to 40 m/s. However, its operation is extremely quiet, at 31 decibels, and offers very little vibration. Due to the low noise during operation, the Quantum cable carrier system is optimally suited for dynamic applications with low-vibration linear drives.

The unit is also suitable for clean room applications, thanks to its link-free, hinge-free design and extruded sidebands constructed of special plastic, as well as the steel cables in the supporting base. In addition to being easy to clean and maintain, these features don’t wear very easily, giving the Quantum an unsurpassed service life up to 25 million cycles. The carrier’s replaceable glide shoes also play a role in helping to prolong service life.

Additional details

The Quantum cable carrier can handle 3D movements. The driver connection can move sideways and can be turned up to ± 30 degrees. In addition, the unit offers a wide range of stay systems and ways of separating the cables. For example, aluminum stays are available in one-millimetre width sections, while plastic stays are available in eight- or 16-millimetre width sections.

This cable carrier is available in Canada from Tsubaki of Canada. Based in Mississauga, Ont., Tsubaki is an industry leader in the manufacture of chains, sprockets, cable carriers and more.
