Quick turnaround in an emergency

A perfect example involved a project from more than two years ago, when a hydrogen generation plant was having a crisis. HOLZ’ determination to turn in the right expansion-joint units with a quick turnaround saved the day once again.

The issue was that the hydrogen generation plant needed three fully assembled fabric expansion joints for a hydrogen purification unit – and it needed them quickly. The joints were required in two weeks or less for installation. A short window of time to assemble and deliver the products, but HOLZ did not waste any time.

With the help of its own metal fabricators, HOLZ devoted its time to fully assemble all three expansion-joint units. These units consisted of belts, pillows, retaining bars, hardware, and frames according to the customer’s requirements.

With the assembly stage of the project complete, HOLZ was now able to ship all three finished units to the customer, all ready for installation – and right on time. The hydrogen generation plant installed the expansion joints, with minimal production time lost, and the joints continue to work well today.
