EXAIR’s newest Soft Grip gun enables hours of comfortable use

The Soft Grip Back Blow Safety Air Gun by EXAIR

Using a safety air gun can be challenging. Cleaning small inside diameters can be difficult, and the user’s hand can get tired after longtime use. Fortunately, EXAIR Corporation has developed the Soft Grip Back Blow Safety Air Gun to tackle both issues.

The new gun delivers air blasts with an extremely small back-blow nozzle, effectively blowing debris and liquid from inside internal part features like small pipe or hose diameters, channels, bores, holes, and internal threads.

Low air consumption, sound level

This EXAIR air gun also has an ergonomic design that keeps users’ hands in a comfortable position, enabling hours of continuous operation without fatigue. Its large trigger permits operation with one or more fingers, adding to ease of use. The durable cast aluminum body makes it perfect for rugged industrial use, and a convenient hanger hook for easy storage is included.

A key feature of the Soft Grip Back Blow Safety Air Gun is the Model 1004SS M4 Back Blow Air Nozzle, which has an array of holes that provides a forceful, back-facing, 360-degree airflow to clear out coolant, chips, and light oil from machining processes. The nozzle stops chips from blowing further inside a part, tube, or pipe – a considerable advantage, as debris blowing out the far end of a pipe or tube can be a safety hazard.

With the Model 1004SS M4 nozzle – which is constructed to clean inside openings as small as six millimetres (mm) and up to 25 mm – this air gun consumes air at only 4.5 SCFM at 80 PSIG, with a sound level of only 75 decibels. The nozzle is made out of Type 316 stainless steel for durability and high corrosion resistance. Together with the nozzle, the gun meets the high safety standards of the Occupational Safety and Health in the United States and Conformité Européenne in Europe.

The Soft Grip air gun includes a chip shield to protect the user from exiting debris, another key safety advantage. To provide reach for longer tube and pipe cleaning, extension pipes from 152 to 1,829 mm are available.
