EXAIR’s new HollowStream nozzle is great for cooling and washing

The ever-increasing portfolio of industrial compressed-air equipment by EXAIR Corporation continues to tackle new innovations as the market gets more complex. The latest addition to this family is the new EXAIR ½ NPT HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle, designed to solve many problems involving cooling, cleaning, rinsing, and dust-suppression applications for manufacturers.

The new HollowStream nozzle offers a hollow cone spray pattern for pressurized fluids, which is perfect for cooling and washing tasks.

A uniform distribution of liquids

The tangential flow design of this new nozzle is vaneless, with wide open internal features that resist clogging while functioning well with fluids that contain particulate. The nozzle is built to produce a uniform distribution of liquids in a ring pattern, with droplets ranging in size from medium to large. The right-angle design of the instrument is compact enough to fit into small areas that are difficult to reach, and the liquid operating pressure goes up to 250 pounds per square inch.

In the HollowStream brand of nozzles, the liquid is supplied into the nozzle body to create a swirling action within a vortex chamber; the vortex produces the hollow cone spray pattern when the precision nozzle breaks the liquid surface tension as it exits through the orifice and into a controlled spray angle. The adjustable flow rate of this new nozzle makes it ideal for such applications as dust mitigation, pollution scrubbers, and foam breaking.

To add to its durability and corrosion resistance, this ½ NPT HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle is made out of Type 303 stainless steel. Available in various flow rates and compliant with the European CE safety standard, this nozzle complements the large lineup of other EXAIR liquid nozzles – measuring 1/8, ¼, 3/8, or ½ NPT – which are also available in a range of flow rates and liquid patterns.
