EXAIR’s longer Super Air Knives now come in one-piece construction

Super Air Knives now come in longer sizes.

Among the many types of compressed-air equipment available from EXAIR Corporation are Super Air Knives, which offer a quiet, hard-hitting curtain of air for blowoff, cleaning, drying, and cooling. Now, the manufacturer has expanded these air knives to a minimum length of 1.524 metres, with a maximum length of 2.743 metres.

These longer air knives now come in a one-piece construction (unlike the former two-piece design), making installation simpler while saving space.

Corrosion-resistant stainless steel design

Each unit has a corrosion-resistant stainless steel design that ensures seamless airflow and withstands temperatures as high as 427 degrees Celsius. Like other Super Air Knives, these longer devices dramatically lower compressed-air use and noise, with respect to alternative blowoffs. They produce a laminar sheet of airflow to blow off, dry, or cool large surfaces up to 108 inches wide. The energy-efficient design entrains 40 parts room air to one part compressed air to minimize compressed-air use. EXAIR recommends these products for blowing corrosive chemicals off parts, drying food products, and cooling molten glass, castings, and moulded parts among other hot materials.

Longer Super Air Knives offer a uniform, high-volume, high-velocity curtain of air that is infinitely adjustable from a gentle blowing force to a hard-hitting air blast. The compact profile measures 1¾ by 1.44 inches, with compressed-air inlets on each end and the bottom to allow easy mounting in confined space.

Available from stock in Type 303 and 316 stainless steel, aluminum, or PVDF, longer Super Air Knives are quiet, maintenance-free devices with no moving parts to wear out. EXAIR offers a factory-installed plumbing kit that makes it simpler to connect these units to any facility’s compressed-air system quickly. They comply with the requirements of the European CE safety standard and of the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration standard 1910.242(b).
