industrial cabinet coolers

Hazardous Location cabinet coolers are among EXAIR's most recent developments.

The latest innovative development from EXAIR Corporation is its new line of Hazardous Location industrial cabinet coolers, which have been designed and built specifically for hazardous work environments. What distinguishes these cabinet coolers from competing products is that they are compliant with the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) classified designation for Division 1 environments.

UL has tested the HazLoc series and found that it meets the stringent standards for use in classified purged and pressurized electrical enclosures within Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, and D. These industrial cabinet coolers also passed the requirements for Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G, as well as Class III environments.

Ideal for cooling control panels

The HazLoc series is part of EXAIR’s full line of cabinet-cooler systems, which are ideal for numerous workplace applications. These include cooling control panels, PLCs, microprocessors, fractional Hp variable frequency drives, and robotics.

These new cabinet coolers operate by circulating cold air – at minus seven degrees Celsius – inside the enclosure, to prevent high-temperature faults. They mound within a standard electrical knockout without interfering with the enclosure’s NEMA rating. Each system has an automatic drain filter separator to prevent any moisture to pass inside the electrical enclosure, and an optional thermostat control is available to minimize the use of compressed air while keeping the enclosure within a small error range of temperature.

HazLoc industrial cabinet coolers each have a cooling capacity of up to 5,600 Btu per hour. This is perfect for electrical enclosures that suffer from problematic overheating. Available for NEMA 4 and 4X enclosures, they are fully compliant with the Conformité Européene (CE) international safety standard.

EXAIR offers a complete line of cabinet-cooler systems for NEMA 12, 4, and 4X enclosures from 275 to 5,600 Btu per hour. They are all UL- and CE- compliant, with no moving parts to wear out. These systems help stop control-panel contamination from heat, dirt, and moisture.

Prices for HazLoc cabinet coolers start at US$795.
