One notable advantage of the EXAIR Super Air Knife is its unusually low noise level, eliminating the noisy blow-offs of similar devices. Even in applications that require pressures as high as 80 pounds per square inch, the sound level does not exceed 69 decibels. These air knives produce an air amplification ratio – i.e., entrained to compressed air – of 40 to one. In this way, they comply with the maximum dead-end pressure and noise requirements of the United States Occupation Safety and Health Administration.
