EXAIR launches stainless steel vacuum conveyor for high material volumes

Stainless steel Line Vac conveyors are now available from EXAIR.

Among EXAIR Corporation’s broad portfolio of innovative compressed-air solutions are Line Vac inline vacuum conveyors, which connect to standard hoses to create powerful inline material-handling systems. The latest addition to the Line Vac family is the new 316 stainless steel conveyors, perfect for food-processing, pharmaceutical, and chemical applications.

Larger and lower-cost, this Line Vac product is designed to transport high volumes of material through ordinary hoses or tubes.

High chemical and corrosion resistance

These inline vacuum conveyors, available in 64 or 76 millimetres (mm), have been built specifically for applications in food processing and pharmaceuticals that require the advantages that 316 stainless steel offers. These benefits include high chemical and corrosion resistance, functionality in both high and low temperatures, long operational life, and minimal maintenance. In addition, the two new sizes allow users to convey even more material over long lengths, either vertical or horizontal.

The EXAIR 316 stainless steel Line Vac conveyor ejects a small amount of compressed air through directed nozzles into the throat, creating a vacuum on one end and high output flows on the other end, with an instantaneous result. Operators can easily control the conveying rate with a pressure regulator, and easy mounting is possible with an optional bracket. With no moving parts or electricity, users are assured of maintenance-free operation. EXAIR particularly recommends these inline vacuum conveyors for filling hoppers, moving trim and waste, or transferring parts.

These new Line Vacs can fit a wide range of popular hose and tube diameters, with nine sizes ranging from ten to 76 mm. Also available are threaded Line Vacs that are compatible with common pipes. A heavy-duty model resists wear from abrasive materials and conveys more products more quickly and over even greater distances. These conveyors also comply with strict international safety standards, including OSHA in the United States and CE in Europe.
