Businesses across North America rely on EXAIR Corporation for the widest and most potent portfolio of industrial compressed-air equipment. And there is always something new, because the company never stops expanding its lineup with new and more powerful innovations that offer unprecedented strengths. The latest breakthrough from the EXAIR team is the brand new ¼ NPT HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle, which delivers a hollow cone spray pattern for pressurized fluids, while using less liquid than its full-cone equivalents do.
A vaneless tangential flow design
This new instrument is the ideal choice for such common workplace applications as cooling, cleaning, foam breaking, rinsing, and dust suppression, due to its unique circular ring spray pattern. The tangential flow design of the HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle is vaneless, with wide-open internal features that resist clogging while creating a uniform distribution in a ring pattern with droplets in sizes from medium to large. With a liquid operating pressure of up to 250 pounds per square inch, the nozzle has a compact, right-angle design that is especially suitable for fluids that contain particulate.
How does the HollowStream spray nozzle work? The liquid to be sprayed is supplied into the body of the nozzle, which produces a swirling action within a vortex chamber. The vortex creates the spray pattern when the machined nozzle breaks the liquid surface tension as it exits the orifice and into a controlled spray angle. Another key advantage of this unit is its stainless steel construction, a trait shared with all EXAIR liquid-atomizing nozzles; it adds to their durability and corrosion resistance.
Available in a broad variety of flow rates, the HollowStream nozzle is fully compliant with the European CE safety standard. It is a perfect fit with the EXAIR family of 1/8, ¼, and ½ NPT air-atomizing and No Drip air-atomizing spray nozzles, and each HollowStream model comes with a five-year Built to Last warranty.
Prices for the ¼ NPT HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle start at US$73.
Established in 1983, EXAIR Corporation designs, manufactures, and supplies a broad range of compressed-air equipment for industrial plants at its headquarters in Cincinnati.
