The High Power Cold Gun by EXAIR

Among the many innovative compressed-air solutions that EXAIR Corporation manufactures for industrial applications are air guns. This family includes the High Power Cold Gun, designed for fast and quiet conversion of compressed air into cold air for cooling machine operations. A low-cost substitute for expensive mist systems, this product prolongs tool life.

The High Power Cold Gun produces cold air that is 28 degrees Celsius below supply air temperature, while preventing tool burning and eliminating wheel loading.

Double the standard cooling capability

By producing a stream of air measuring minus six degrees Celsius, the High Power Cold Gun lowers heat buildup from a broad range of machining operations, especially laser cutting. This tool has double the cooling capability of a standard EXAIR Cold Gun, and it can withstand constant use with no possibility of freezing up. The High Power Cold Gun meets the noise and pressure requirements of the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The High Power Cold Gun System incorporates a stainless steel vortex tube that converts an ordinary level of compressed air into cold air, and a flexible ball and socket hose, which holds its position, serves to direct the cold air to the point at which the heat is generated. The system is easy to mount and portable, thanks to its magnetic base.

A key advantage of the High Power Cold Gun is that it does away with the ongoing expenses associated with the purchase, filtration, cleanup, and disposal of liquid coolants. As a result, there are no more worker-related health issues due to the breathing in of airborne coolings or to slips on wet facility floors. The EXAIR team recommends this tool for such applications as laser cutting, tool sharpening, drill and cutter grinding, milling, drilling, surface grinding, plastic machining, and plunge/form grinding.

EXAIR carries the High Power Cold Gun Aircoolant System with either one or two cold outlets, with the gun itself available on its own too.

Established in 1983, EXAIR Corporation develops and manufactures an unsurpassed range of industrial compressed-air solutions, from vacuum conveyors to cabinet coolers, at its facility in Cincinnati.
