EXAIR offers cabinet coolers for hazardous locations.

Among the innovative products available from EXAIR Corporation are HazLoc (hazardous location) cabinet coolers. These units are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures in classified areas: Class I Division 1, Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III.

These cabinet coolers are tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and meet the strict UL requirements for use in these areas.

With vortex tube technology

Cabinet coolers offers a low-cost, dependable means of cooling purged electric control panels in this workplaces. They use vortex tube technology to produce up to 5,600 Btu per hour with no moving parts; this means minimal maintenance in cooling purged cabinets in hazardous locations. EXAIR offers these products in eight different cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 to 5,600 Btu an hour. With this cooling range, users can fit a perfect fit for their individual needs without putting extra demand on their air compressors.

HazLoc cabinet coolers protect electronics from heat, dirt, and moisture while they keep processes operating, solving cooling issues while preventing downtime and lost productivity. They are recommended as an inexpensive solution to messy, high-maintenance, coolant-based air conditioners with simple installation.

Another key features of EXAIR HazLoc cabinet coolers is that they work with NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X enclosures. They maintain cool operating temperatures for purged and pressurized controllers without compromising panel integrity. These are thermostatically controlled systems that work with the highest efficiency and have UL-listed solenoids, which are also ideal for hazardous locations. The EXAIR crew has built these systems to install on any purged enclosure within minutes, with little or no maintenance needed.

EXAIR cabinet coolers are currently available with a special offer: with the purchase of each system, including HazLoc cabinet coolers, the customer receives a free AC sensor. The Model 7929 AC sensor offers the perfect way to ensure the power is going into a Gen4 single-point ionizer. The tip of the sensor glows bright red and beeps when voltage is present.
