The Model 7905 digital static meter is a sensitive and responsive device that can indicate surface voltage and polarity on objects of up to plus or minus 20 kilovolts from 25 millimetres (mm) away. It can help to discern the most troublesome static areas in any industrial process. To use this instrument, the operator first zeroes the meter and then moves it to within 25 mm of the problem surface or surfaces, to get a LED illuminated reading of the static voltage. The meter comes with a National Institute of Standards and Technology certificate for accuracy.
