Russell Bowman is now CCASS-certified.

For four decades, EXAIR LLC has offered many industrial solutions to help clients better understand how to improve their manufacturing processes. The company employs application engineers who use their years of experience in working with unique processes and their requirements to help customers diagnose problems and offer advice on efficiency improvement.

As evidence of this high expertise, one of these EXAIR application engineers, Russell Bowman, has recently earned CCASS (Certified Compressed-Air System Specialist) certification.

Education, training, testing, and experience

Awarded by the Compressed Air and Gas Institute, or CAGI, the CCASS designation is a professional credential that denotes mastery in everything related to compressed-air systems, including system design, compressed-air supply and distribution, energy efficiency, and system components. Bowman has achieved this distinction through his understanding of how best to use and optimize compressed-air systems and products.

Earning the CCASS designation requires a certain level of education, but also completion of specified training, testing, and professional experience, all pertaining to the comprehensive knowledge of compressed-air systems. The EXAIR team has committed itself to providing an unmatched level of expertise over 40 years of service to the manufacturing sector, while taking pride in its ability to assist businesses with unique process problems. With the CCASS certification, Bowman is a living testament to EXAIR’s success.

A Navy veteran, Bowman first became interested in compressed air when he learned how it was used to bring submarines up to the water surface. He worked in the pump sector and became an expert in liquid flow and transfer before joining EXAIR as an application engineer in 2011.

EXAIR application engineers offer helpful insight in such areas as optimizing performance, energy efficiency, and product maintenance. The company also provides a wide range of information on current products and how they can solve manufacturing problems. Its website includes frequently asked questions, three-dimensional models and computer-assisted designs, air-savings calculators, slide presentations, performance data, videos, and an application database. With both human and digital resources available, customers always have everything they need.

Observing its 40th anniversary this year, EXAIR manufactures a wide range of compressed-air equipment at its Cincinnati plant.
