EXAIR adds new CE-, UL- and RoHS-certified anti-static air gun to its lineup

The new addition

The Ion Air Gun is the newest addition to the EXAIR family of products. This rugged and ergonomic tool is designed to remove static electricity, contaminants and dust from parts prior to labelling, assembly, packaging, painting or finishing. And, since quality, safety and sustainability are important to EXAIR, it’s no surprise that the air gun meets the rigorous safety, health and environmental standards of Canada, the U.S. and European Union that are required to attain the CE and UL marks. It is also RoHS compliant. 

Product features

The new Ion Air Gun has many best-in-class features that make it an ideal choice for challenging industrial applications like cleaning moulded parts, pre-paint dust removal, furniture finishing, and package cleaning prior to labelling or printing. These features include a metal armoured high voltage cable to protect against abrasion and cuts, a replaceable emitter point, integrated ground connection and electromagnetic shielding. 

The shockless Ion Air Gun has the ability to neutralize static electricity and clean at distances up to 4.6 metres (15 feet) thanks to a high velocity air jet. This air jet, which is incorporated into the gun, uses a small amount of compressed air to entrain 80 per cent of the total output airflow from the surrounding room air. An electrically energized emitter at the discharge end fills the entire airstream with positive and negative ions capable of neutralizing high static charges in a fraction of a second. In addition, the air gun features a comfortable grip and hand position, which enables hours of continuous use without fatigue.  

The Ion Air Gun is quiet, lightweight and offers easy storage thanks to a hanger hook. It also includes a flexible 10-foot shielded power cable that is designed for rugged use.
