Sandpiper’s line of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps is now available in Canada through York Fluid Controls. The manufacturer’s most popular product in this line is its Standard Duty Ball pumps, which are designed to handle moderately abrasive liquids and suspended solids.

A mark of quality

Standard Duty Ball pumps from Sandpiper bear the EVOLUTION badge, which denotes that the product gives optimized performance as well as reliability. Sandpiper has taken its proven product designs and applied advanced engineering methods to improve their performance.

These pumps have been constructed out of various materials, including aluminum, cast iron, stainless steel, polypropylene and PVDF. They also include elastomer options and check valves. Standard Duty pumps are light and portable, with some weighing as little as one kilogram, and are built with discharges and ball check valves to guarantee high-flow pumping.

A wide variety of designs

The EVOLUTION Standard Duty Ball pumps are available in 15 different designs, some metallic and some non-metallic, with flow rates ranging from 15 to 1,078 litres per minute and discharge port sizes between one and four inches.

Other features of the Standard Duty Ball pumps include: bottom and top discharges for solids; diaphragm connecting rods, for reliable diaphragm control; externally serviceable air-distribution systems with air valves; and all-bolted construction for high-pressure liquids.
