ESS guard house buildings customized to meet customer needs

Excess Space Solutions (ESS) manufactures premium quality portable guard house buildings, offering an efficient work environment for on-site security, ticket booth or scale house personnel. One example is a 12- by 14-foot security building that was designed to house security personnel for a high traffic distribution centre that operates 24-7. The customer requested specialty items, including sliding windows, tinted glass, built-in work counters and a washroom facility. 

Another customer required a 10- by 14-foot prefabricated gate house. The unit was designed to house security personnel for a high traffic manufacturing facility that operates 24-7. The specialty items included in this project were custom work counters, a two-piece washroom, equipment closet, power transformer, electronic gate control, complete facility security and fire annunciator alarm systems. 

One customer needed its guard house elevated. The eight- by eight-foot prefabricated building was raised to provide greater visibility within the shipping/receiving compound. Specialty items included tinted windows and a galvanized steel stair and landing assembly.

One final example is an eight- by 18-foot prefabricated scale house building. This particular project included sliding windows, tinted glass and a built-in work counter. The scale house arrived on site ready to be occupied after a simple electrical hook-up. This is possible because of the factory-assembled design.
