Daemar carries various engineered fasteners.

Daemar Inc. is the source that Canadian businesses trust for an unmatched selection of essential components for industry, such as seals, retaining rings, bushings, caps, plugs, shim rolls, and many other options. The distributor also carries engineered fasteners, all of them made by major manufacturers as non-threaded solutions for a wide application range. Customers can choose from among such products as self-compensation hoses, constant-section retaining rings, and push-on or plastic fasteners.

Made to perform specific functions

What sets these engineered fasteners apart from similar items supplied by competing companies is that they are designed and developed to have specific, unique traits or to perform specific functions in specific ways. The four main categories of engineered fasteners available from the enormous Daemar inventory:

  • Constant-section retaining rings – a group of uniform section rings that work in housing or on a shaft just as well, or better, than stamped rings do. Daemar supplies both internal and external constant-section retaining rings with different types of cross-sectional shapes.
  • DMR plastic fasteners – engineered fasteners that have been moulded primarily in tough, corrosion-resistant Nylon 6/6; other moulding materials are available upon client request. The Daemar inventory includes screws, nuts, washers, spacers, bushings, panel fasteners, hole plugs, circuit-board hardware, hose clamps, wire-handling clips, and cable ties.
  • DMR push-on fasteners – a selection of hat and retainer fasteners that can hold components on plain round shafts, rods, and axles. They are pushed onto shafts or studs, which eliminates the requirement to find threads or to use torque wrenches. Push-on fasteners also reduce expenses by doing away with the need for notching, threading, drilling, and other secondary operations.
  • Hose clamps – self-compensating hose clamps that come in various standard hose sizes. These units are the perfect choice for low-pressure applications in single-wire, double-wire, and constant-tension-band configurations. Hose clamps expand and contract with hoses in response to temperature change.

Daemar also offers pliers, applicators, dispensers, and other retaining-ring installation solutions, in addition to automatic assembly tools for installing retaining rings. And DMR retaining-ring kits and packs eliminate the guesswork in choosing parts, thus saving time in sorting parts.
