engine driven trash pumps

Gorman-Rupp offers three sizes of engine driven trash pumps in its portfolio.

Gorman-Rupp is a major pump manufacturer that offers its products through York Fluid Controls. The lineup includes three models of self-priming, engine driven trash pumps, each with a cast aluminum construction. This pump group is designed for applications that require high flow efficiency and solids-handling capability.

These pumps range in size from two to four inches NPT and are also suitable for dirty water.

Self-priming up to 25 feet

Each of these engine driven trash pumps is made of heavy-duty, sand-cast aluminum components with replaceable ductile iron impeller and steel wear plates. The simple front clean-out design allows easy removal of debris with no disconnecting hoses. All are furnished with heavy-duty steel roll cages, suction strainers, and 90-degree discharge elbows, and York Fluid Controls can supply them with Honda gasoline engines, ranging from five to 13 horsepower.

The pump can self-prime to 25 feet with its built-in flapper valve, and it can handle solids up to a diameter of two inches. The mechanical seals are made of Viton and silicon carbide. Each can operate at temperatures of up to 71 degrees Celsius, and the two- and three-inch models have a maximum operating pressure of 78 pounds per square inch (psi), while the four-inch model has a maximum operating pressure of 100 psi.

All three models of these engine driven trash pumps have roll-cage mounting. The smallest, the 12D1-GX160, has a port size of two inches, a run time of two hours, and a tank size of 3½ litres; it measures 55.8 by 45.7 by 53 centimetres (cm) in size, with a shipping weight of 38½ kilograms (kg). The 13D1-GX270 has a port size of three inches, a run time of 2.7 hours, and a tank size of 6.1 litres. It measures 71.1 by 50.8 by 59.9 cm, with shipping weight of 61 kg.

The 14D1-GX390 has a port size of four inches, a run time of 1.2 hours, and a tank size of 1.2 litres. Its size is 92.7 by 57.1 by 75.1 cm, and its shipping weight is 120 kg.
