Municipalities face numerous challenges when it comes to tightening effluent requirements. So Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. has created a new wastewater monitoring platform – a comprehensive approach for real-time monitoring of all critical parameters and collection of true representative samples for laboratory testing. Based on the company’s Liquiline platform, this is a complete solution, used in combination with Promag flow measurement, to provide for operators the best possible risk mitigation and avoid incurring penalties for violations.
Optimal performance in wastewater monitoring
This new wastewater monitoring platform includes some of the most innovative monitoring and analytical tools available. Together, these tools comprise a system that is very rigorous, reliable, and cost-efficient. The full platform features four Memosens sensors connected to a Liquiline CM44x series transmitter, with Liquistation CSF48 and CSF34 monitoring stations, plus CA80 series colourmetric analyzers for phosphorus and ammonia. The Memosens sensors are for pH, turbidity, spectral absorption coefficient for organics, and dissolved oxygen.
The centrepiece of this wastewater monitoring platform is the recently launched Endress+Hauser CA80 series analyzer. The wastewater-management industry has already widely recognized this new device as the best of its kind, with unprecedented technology and the lowest operating cost on the market; it is also the first analyzer that uses an integrated Liquiline transmitter and Memosens technology. The CA80 offers consistent analysis across analytical measurements, with quick commissioning and user-friendly operations, by using the Liquiline electronics platform.
The Endress+Hauser team has designed the CA80 series with precise, positive displacement dispensers for reagent dosing and cooling systems, in order to decrease the consumption of reagents and enables maximum effectiveness for as long as 12 weeks. Longevity can be further extended with the help of an optional cooling module. The analyzer has integrated calibration and an automatic backwash system, the latter keeping filters clean, to ensure reliable operations with no manual intervention required over long periods of time – which helps to minimize maintenance costs.
The CA80 analyzer is available for iron, ammonium, phosphate, nitrate, and many other online parameters. It helps to achieve optimal performance in wastewater monitoring for this innovative platform.
