Production of Raman spectroscopic analyzers in Ann Arbor, MI. where the newly launched Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, Inc. is based.
The team at Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce that two company subsidiaries, SpectraSensors, Inc. and Kaiser Optical Systems, Inc., recently merged to form a new entity: Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, Inc. This union took effect on Jan. 1 to provide customers with even better support in the future for analysis applications.
Based in Ann Arbor, MI, with roughly 200 employees, this new company will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of parent company The Endress+Hauser Group.
Focus on laboratory, process analysis
The merger consolidates the Group’s collective expertise in laser-based measurement technology while strengthening its focus on laboratory and process analysis. Through Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the company can support clients from product and process development to production with advanced analysis and quality measurements for process-engineering tasks. Nearly ¼ of Endress+Hauser’s global sales comprises products from its analysis-technology division.
Both based in the United States, SpectraSensors and Kaiser were acquired by Endress+Hauser in 2012 and 2013 respectively, following their lengthy histories of innovation and market-leading products for optical analysis. By adding SpectraSensors, the Group strengthened its position in gas analysis with tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy, or TDLAS, technology; Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis will continue to manufacture TDLAS instruments in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Kaiser has been a global leader in Raman spectroscopy, enhancing Endress+Hauser with high expertise in solid, liquid, and gas analysis in vaccine production and a broad variety of other applications. Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis plans to keep developing and manufacturing Raman spectroscopic devices in Ann Arbor.
Together with Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis and the Analytik Jena subsidiary, Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis forms a crucial element of the Group’s analysis strategy. The Liquid Analysis division intends to develop and expand its portfolio further for laboratory and process analysis. Since clients expect user-friendly, robust measurement devices that are appropriate for their specific applications, Endress+Hauser offers laser-based measurement technology in its integrated product lineup for analysis, in order to support industrial customers from product and process development to production and quality assurance.
Endress+Hauser remains a worldwide leader in test and measurement sensors, instruments, systems, services, and solutions for process engineering.
