The company blazed a trail when it launched Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions in 2000. This year, this company is celebrating 20 years of providing innovative digital measurement solutions worldwide.

The company launched Digital Solutions to bundle important digitalization issues in the global process-automation sector in a separate company. From the start, Endress+Hauser has brought a pioneering and innovative spirit to Digital Solutions – which has led to the development and operation of its own Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform.

Today, Digital Solutions employs more than 180 people, all of whom help to develop digital measurement solutions for Industry 4.0-ready workplaces. Early on, the company focused its work primarily on communications products, working heavily with innovative digital communication technologies and protocols like PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, and HART. Later, Digital Solutions later began integrating measurement instruments with the assistance of electronic device descriptions and FDT/DTM technology.

Digital Solutions’ current focus is on Industry 4.0 applications. A key example is the recent development of the Netilion IIoT ecosystem, a platform that ensures simple connectivity in industrial facilities and allows digital services through the Internet. Netilion is already active in more than 20 countries.
