Not only is Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. a respected supplier of world-class industrial measurement instrumentation; it is also a dedicated corporate citizen that cares about the communities where its employees live. This month, the company is holding a two-week fundraising campaign among workers for the United Way, from March 4 to 18.

Endress+Hauser is currently soliciting employee contributions, all of which will go directly to communities where staff live in Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary, and Burlington, Ont.

A milestone goal of $15,000

Endress+Hauser is aiming for a milestone goal of $15,000 – $7,500 from employee donations, to be matched by another $7,500 from the company – to give to the United Way. This marks the beginning of a new alliance with the charitable organization to help communities that need assistance. The company is also encouraging its personnel to volunteer their time during company hours to support local United Way initiatives this year.

Social responsibility is a major factor in how Endress+Hauser measures its success, in addition to providing top industrial measurement instrumentation, according to CEO and general manager Anthony Varga. “It’s part of our culture as one of the world’s most successful family-owned businesses to live up to a high standard in relating to our customers and communities,” Varga said at the official launch of the fundraising drive on March 4. “Working with the United Way means our donations of money and time will be directed to helping people in need or in crisis in our own communities.”

Officials from United Way Halton & Hamilton attended the launch in Burlington. This branch serves communities around the western end of Lake Ontario. The region, often called one of Canada’s most affluent areas, is home to more than 212,000 vulnerable children, families, and seniors who benefit from the United Way’s services. The charity encompasses a network of programs designed to address poverty, mental or physical challenges, loneliness, or isolation and give people a better future.

Endress+Hauser plans to be a strategic partner in solving these issues, as it continues to offer the best industrial measurement instrumentation on the market.
