Endress+Hauser’s iTEMP TMT31 RTD temperature transmitter for analog 4-20mA signals offers easy installation and commissioning. It can be ordered with screw or push-in terminals and delivered preconfigured or parameterized on site from a laptop or tablet.

For decades, businesses have benefited from the broad range of test and measurement instrumentation available from Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. This inventory includes resistance temperature detectors, also known as RTDs, and the Endress+Hauser crew has revolutionized these devices with its new line of iTEMP TMT31 RTDs, designed for analog 4-20mA signals.

With these temperature transmitters, the manufacturer is redefining the RTD with minimum user effort in commissioning, device configuration, and maintenance.

Available in two optimized versions

The iTEMP TMT31 device has been designed and built to deliver many user benefits, including great long-term stability, high accuracy, and ease of use. Customers can order this RTD head transmitter for Pt100/Pt1000 sensors as preconfigured or parameterized onsite from a laptop or tablet, using Endress+Hauser’s own free operating software DeviceCare, in order to minimize the effort involved in commissioning, maintenance, and configuration. Also available as accessories are the USB configuration kits required for this, including the TXU10 or Commubox FXA291.

This temperature transmitter offers other significant improvements in connection technology. Endress+Hauser supplies it in two optimized variants; one of them comes with a push-in terminal for tool-free, secure wiring in just a few seconds, while the other, the classic screw terminal option, has been optimized to make wiring the connection as simple as possible. Corrosion-free contacts ensure maximum reliability of measured value transmissions with both versions.

The iTEMP TMT31 instrument has been approved for safe use of sensor types Pt100 (IEC/GOST/JIS) and Pt1000 (IEC) in Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D hazardous, non-sparking work environments. Users have the option to adjust the sensor characteristics of the connected RTD to the head transmitter with a transmitter-sensor adjustment, using the Callendar-Van Dusen equations, or CvD; this further increases the accuracy of the temperature measurement of the whole system.

A worldwide leader in test and measurement instruments for industrial process engineering, The Endress+Hauser Group always sets the highest standards in technology and quality. The family-owned company further supports its customer base with automation engineering, logistics, and IT services and solutions. The Canadian affiliate is based in Burlington, Ont.
