Endress+Hauser’s new Promag W 800 battery-powered electromagnetic flowmeter with cellular communications provides consistently accurate process and freshwater measurement in remote areas, even where there are no power or ground-based data lines.

The latest solution available from Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. is the Proline Promag W 800 electromagnetic cellular flow meter. This battery-powered unit is designed for fresh or process water piped substantial distances through remote areas with no possibility of providing flow-measurement devices with energy or data-transfer capability through power or land lines. The Promag W 800 offers highly accurate measurement with maintenance-free operations and global data transfer through cellular radio for up to 15 years.

Reliable monitoring of variables

This technology supports integrated cloud connectivity and offers consistent, seamless consumption measurement with measured error no more than plus or minus ½ a per cent. The Promag W 800 reliably monitors important variables like volume, totalizer, and limits; it also ensures efficient, time-saving maintenance of water-supply networks. Users can localize leaks reliably and promptly to minimize water loss – or perform targeted leak detection by balancing water between two measuring points through pressure change.

This cellular flow meter works for measuring lake, river, spring, or ground water, plus drinking and process water and applications in metered distribution networks. Endress+Hauser recommends it particularly for consumption measurement during irrigation of expansive farmland. The Proline 800 transmitter has everything required for future-oriented communication in minimal space, like measuring electronics, batteries, a data logger, and a cellular radio module.

One can also call up measured values and status messages online, like flow, pressure, totalizer, device and process status, alarm messages, and battery-charge level, with this cellular flow meter. Endress+Hauser offers the Netilion Value app for easy access to the most important measured values of a specific device, and Netilion Water Network Insights, a cloud-based solution for monitoring and visualizing extensive water networks.

The Promag W sensor is robust and fully welded, making it resistant to such environmental challenges as seasonal variations, especially installation underwater or underground.
