Customer Experience Centre

With last week’s ceremonial groundbreaking, construction begins on Endress+Hauser Canada’s 47,000 sq ft, $28 million Customer Experience Centre in Burlington, Ont.

The construction of the new Customer Experience Centre for Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. is under way. This $28 million, 47,000-square-foot facility in Burlington, Ont. is expected to be completed late next year. The company has broken new ground with its construction – both literally and figuratively. This Centre will offer a generously equipped training and support hub for customers from central to eastern Canada to learn about new process-automation innovations.

Sharing valuable process knowledge

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Customer Experience Centre took place during the last week of August. The event included a traditional Land Acknowledgement Ceremony, performed by Chief R. Stacey Laforme of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations, as a gesture of respect for Indigenous people and their values. As First Nations are dedicated to sustainable living in the natural environment, so the new Centre will highlight Endress+Hauser’s commitment to sustainability.

The Centre, around the corner from the company’s current office building, will include Endress+Hauser’s second Process Training Unit in Canada. This will make the technology of the pilot plant accessible to more customers in Southern Ontario.

“Providing great customer experiences is a key differentiator for Endress+Hauser,” said CEO and general manager Anthony Varga in his welcoming remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony. “Our new Customer Experience Centre will be an unrivalled asset for solidifying current relationships and starting new ones by sharing the company’s valuable process knowledge.

“And by pursuing bold sustainability goals for this exceptional facility – such as LEED Gold green building certification and net zero energy and emissions – we are aspiring to set a new standard for progressive corporate leadership for our industry and community,” Varga added.

He also noted that a diverse customer base will get to evaluate nuances and differences in their applications and in the variety of materials measured and analyzed. “At the new Burlington experience centre, customers will have the opportunity to simulate the performance of that equipment under conditions similar to their own operations, an invaluable resource.”

Genesis Property Development will lead the project. Partners include mcCallumSather, WSP, and Maple Reinders.
